Signs and banners

Signage that carries the same brand as your uniforms

When your team is in freshly embroidered shirts, the sign above the door should look just as sharp. We quote shop, office, site and event signage alongside our embroidery work, using one set of logo files so colours and proportions stay consistent from the shopfront to the sleeve.

  • Indoor and outdoor options
  • Temporary or long-term signs
  • Artwork scaled properly
  • Installation quoted when needed

Signs our embroidery clients usually need

Businesses that order embroidered corporate clothing from us are often opening a shop, moving offices or kitting out a team for a site or event. At those moments the uniform is only half the picture. Common signage requests include:

  • Shopfront and fascia signs, and window or door vinyl with trading details
  • Reception and office wall signs that match the logo on staff shirts
  • Site boards and safety or directional signs for contractors
  • A-frame pavement boards for cafes, salons and retailers
  • Banners and correx boards for openings, school events and promotions

Briefing signage with your uniforms means a single logo review and one point of contact.

Materials and finishes, chosen for where the sign lives

The right substrate depends on whether the sign is indoors or outdoors, how long it needs to last and how it will be fixed. We confirm the final specification on the quote.

  • Correx for short-term outdoor messages such as events, sales and site notices.
  • ABS or PVC board for indoor signs and sheltered outdoor positions.
  • Aluminium composite for longer-term outdoor signs that need to stay flat and rigid.
  • Self-adhesive vinyl, cut or printed, for windows, walls, doors and vehicles.
  • PVC banners with eyelets or hems for fences, walls and frames.

Illuminated and built-up lettering can be quoted on request; we will tell you what is involved before you commit.

Artwork that scales from a chest logo to a shopfront

A logo that stitches well at a few centimetres wide can fall apart when blown up to a metre. Signage needs a true vector file (AI, EPS, SVG or a vector PDF) so edges stay crisp at any size. Raster files are only suitable for printed signs if they are high resolution at the final size.

Send exact sign dimensions or a photo of the wall or window with rough measurements. We will lay out the sign, check text sizes for reading distance and send a proof. If your logo only exists as a low-resolution image, our graphic design service can redraw it, quoted separately, and the cleaned file then serves your embroidery too.

When a sign or print does the job better than thread

Clients sometimes ask whether a large logo on a banner, backdrop or tablecloth can be embroidered. For most large-format branding, printing is faster, sharper and far more practical than stitching. Embroidery shines on garments and soft goods where texture and durability count; print and vinyl win on flat, large or temporary surfaces.

Our advice is simple: stitch what people wear and carry, print what people look at from a distance. If your project sits between the two, such as event staff kit plus a stand, we will suggest the best split and quote both together. See trade show displays for expo-specific options.

Production, collection and installation

Timing depends on the material, size, quantity, approved artwork and current production load, so we confirm a realistic date on the quote rather than promising one up front. Simple printed boards and banners generally move faster than fabricated or illuminated signs.

Smaller signs and banners can be collected from our Rivonia shop once we confirm they are ready. Delivery is quoted per job. Where a sign needs fixing to a wall, fascia or fence, installation can be quoted separately after we understand the surface, height and access; please share photos so we can assess it properly.

Frequently asked questions

Do you only do embroidery, or can you really produce signs?

Embroidery is our core craft, but we also quote signage so clients can brand their premises and team together. Each sign is specified on a written quote with materials and timing, and you approve a proof before production.

Which material is best for an outdoor sign?

For short-term messages, correx is economical. For signs that need to last outdoors, aluminium composite with printed or cut vinyl is a common choice. Tell us the location, exposure and how long the sign must last and we will recommend an option.

Can you match my sign to the logo on our embroidered shirts?

Yes. We work from the same logo files, so shapes and proportions match. Thread and print colours are produced differently, so we choose the closest thread and print matches and show them on proofs for approval.

Do you install signs?

Installation can be quoted where needed. We will ask for photos, measurements and access details so the quote reflects the real fixing method. Many smaller signs and banners are simple enough for clients to put up themselves.
