Our process
From logo to finished garment, step by step
Embroidery has a few steps that printing does not, mainly digitising and stitch proofing. Here is the full journey so you know what we need from you, when you will see a proof, and what decides how quickly your order is ready.
- Nothing stitched before approval
- Clear proof stage
- Turnaround confirmed in writing
- Collect or delivery

Briefing: getting the details right first
Most delays in embroidery come from missing details, not machines. A good brief covers the garment style and colour, the size breakdown, which positions you want branded, and your real deadline. If you are supplying garments, tell us the fabric type: a cotton piqué golf shirt, a fleece and a softshell jacket each need different backing and stitch settings.
Send the best logo file you have. Vector artwork is ideal, but we regularly start from PNGs or photos. If you are not sure what to choose, the placement and size guide and the instant estimate help you plan before you message us.
Digitising and proof approval
Once you accept the quote, we digitise your logo into a stitch file built for your garment. You then receive a stitch proof showing the design at actual size, its position on the garment, the thread colours and the stitch count. Check spelling, colours and size carefully; this is your chance to adjust before anything is sewn.
Thread colours are matched as closely as possible to your brand, but thread is not ink, so some shades will differ slightly from a printed logo. Small text below about 5 mm may be enlarged or simplified so it stays legible. Approved files are saved for future orders. Read more about digitising.
Production, finishing and collection
After approval and payment, your order joins the production schedule. Each item is hooped with the right backing, stitched, then finished: jump threads trimmed, backing removed and the garment inspected. Turnaround depends on quantity, number of positions, garment stock and what is already scheduled, and we confirm it on your quote. Qualifying small orders can sometimes be done the same day.
We message you when the order is ready. Collect from Rivonia Central, Oriental City, or request delivery, quoted per job. See Delivery & Collection.

Frequently asked questions
Can I see a sample before the full run?
On larger orders we can stitch a single sample for approval before the full run, which adds a little time. For most orders the digital stitch proof is enough to confirm size, placement and colours.
What if I want changes after approving the proof?
Tell us as soon as possible. Before stitching starts we can usually adjust, though a new proof may be needed. Once items are stitched, changes mean replacing garments, which is charged.
When does the turnaround clock start?
From the point the stitch proof is approved and payment is confirmed, and garments are available. Your quote states the turnaround that applies.
Do I have to come in to the shop?
No. Everything from quote to proof approval can be handled by email, WhatsApp or chat, and delivery can be quoted. You are welcome to visit if you prefer to see thread colours in person.
